Nawaz Sharif provided two ACs for Imran Khan in jail: CM Maryam

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif provided two air conditioners for PTI founder Imran Khan, who is incarcerated in Adiala jail.

During her speech in the Punjab Assembly following the approval of the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, CM Maryam criticised the opposition, stating that PTI ruined governance in Punjab because "it was busy targeting its opponents by removing their facilities in prisons".

CM Punjab emphasised that PML-N does not engage in vengeful politics. Instead, “Nawaz Sharif instructed to provide not just one, but two ACs for Imran Khan in jail.”

She further stated that Imran Khan receives all facilities in prison, including desi chicken and exercise machines and he has not been subjected to any unfair treatment by her party. 

Highlighting her government's initiatives, CM Punjab pointed out that for the first time in history, a tax-free budget has been presented in the province. 

Speaking at the budget session, CM Maryam Nawaz mentioned that medicines, which had been stopped by the former PTI government, are now being provided to patients again. She also noted that inflation is at its lowest level in many years.

Punjab's first woman CM brushed aside the opposition’s protest during her speech arguing that they lack real arguments and "We will defeat the opposition with our performance."
