Pakistan, UAE ink multiple accords to boost bilateral ties

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Pakistan on Thursday for a one-day official visit focused on investment and economic collaboration.
Upon his arrival at Rawalpindi’s Nur Khan Airbase, he was welcomed by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, and other senior officials. A cultural troupe and children waving the flags of both nations greeted the dignitary.
The crown prince later met PM Shehbaz at the Prime Minister House, where discussions centered on strengthening trade, investment, and energy cooperation. The UAE leader reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic growth.
During the visit, Pakistan and the UAE signed five agreements covering banking, railways, mining, and infrastructure investment. The accords are expected to pave the way for joint ventures and enhanced economic ties between the two nations.
The visit highlighted the long-standing diplomatic and economic relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, reaffirming both countries' commitment to deepening their partnership.
