Amid the anticipated hot weather during Hajj 2025, Pakistani authorities have arranged air-conditioned camps and enhanced facilities for pilgrims traveling on the government quota.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi’s Haji Camp, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Yousuf, shared the special arrangements made by the Pakistani government for Hajj pilgrims.

Sardar Yousuf termed the provision of facilities and information to the pilgrims as a top priority and outlined the special arrangements made by the authorities for their accommodation in Saudi Arabia.

He stated that specific zones have been designated for pilgrims, where they would have roof-covered, air-conditioned camps equipped with essential appliances for their use.

Yousuf further mentioned that a comprehensive transport strategy was planned for the pilgrims, in which 70 percent of them would be sent to the Mount of Arafat by train.

He emphasised that all of these arrangements aim to protect pilgrims from the harsh weather conditions.

Earlier, Saudi authorities had announced the construction of dedicated resting areas for pilgrims at key locations in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, aiming to provide comfort and facilities to millions during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The recommendations were shared during a briefing with the Deputy Governor of Makkah, Saud bin Mihak.

An official stated that they are constructing 50,000 square meters of shaded walkways for pedestrians in Mina and are installing 60,000 square meters of shelters with misting fans around Jabal al-Rahmah in Arafat.
