Pakistan's security forces have shot down four rudimentary drones that crossed into Balochistan from Afghanistan.

The ISPR accused the Afghan Taliban regime of backing terrorist groups operating from territory under its control.

According to the ISPR, the drones were launched on June 30 and were immediately detected by Pakistan's air defence network after entering the country's airspace.

"The hostile aerial platforms were immediately picked up by Pakistan's robust air defence network," the ISPR said, adding that the swift response demonstrated the armed forces' high level of operational readiness.

The military claimed the move was intended to divert attention from internal challenges facing Afghanistan and criticised what it described as the Taliban's "irresponsible behaviour."

The ISPR urged the Afghan Taliban to abandon support for militant groups and instead adopt the principle of peaceful coexistence. It warned that any future cross-border provocations would receive a "swift, decisive and overwhelming response."

Reaffirming the country's defensive capabilities, the military said the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully vigilant and prepared to safeguard every inch of the nation's territory.

There was no immediate response from the Afghan Taliban authorities to Pakistan's allegations.
