Pakistan observes Youm-e-Ali today amid tight security

Youm-e-Ali is being observed across the country amid tight security to mark the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) on Ramadan 21 (today).
Strict security arrangements have been placed at all sensitive areas of the country, especially the routes of processions, to avert any untoward incident.
The police and other law-enforcement agencies have already finalised foolproof security arrangements.
The main procession in Karachi will start from Nishtar Park at 1:00pm and will reach Imambargah Hussainia located in Kharadar in the evening.
The main route of the central procession has been sealed by placing containers and will remain shut for normal traffic today.
Over 5,000 police officers and constables will perform duty in the metropolis on Youm-e-Ali, according to the Sindh police.
The main procession in Lahore will initiate from Mochi Gate and will culminate at Karbala Gamay Shah.
Moreover, procession participants will also offer prayers at Sunehri Mosque.
