PM Shehbaz meets Qatari Emir to express full support against Israeli strikes

DOHA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Qatar, calling them “unjust and heinous” violations of the Gulf state’s sovereignty.
Leading a high-level delegation, the prime minister met Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and reaffirmed Pakistan’s “steadfast support” for Qatar.
“Pakistan stands firmly with the Amir, the Royal Family and the people of Qatar during this critical time,” he declared.
Sharif extended condolences to the families of those killed and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
He also highlighted the historic ties between Islamabad and Doha, stressing Pakistan’s commitment to Qatar’s territorial integrity, security and sovereignty.

The Israeli strikes, which reportedly targeted Hamas officials in Doha, killed at least seven people and triggered widespread condemnation across the Arab world.
Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani denounced the attack as “reckless,” warning that it threatened Gulf stability and hinting at a coordinated regional response.
