The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday forecast hot and humid weather for the port city for the next three days, Muharram 8, 9 and 10.
The Met Office on Monday predicted that the weather will remain hot and humid on July 15, 16, and 17 in coastal areas of Sindh due to low pressure of winds.
The mercury in Karachi is likely to fluctuate between 35°C-37°C during the next three days. The humidity level is expected to remain at 73 percent.
According to the weather department, sea winds have stopped in the megapolis. The winds are blowing from the northwest with a speed of 18 kilometeres per hour.
Meanwhile, Several areas of Sindh, including Umar Kot, Mirpur, Sanghard, Hyderabad, Ghotki and surrounding areas, would experience rain during the evening and night, said PMD.
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) tightened the belt after the prediction of hot weather and partial heat wave in the metropolis.
However, a new monsoon spell, according to PMD, will hit Karachi from July 18 or 19.
