Several districts of Sindh, including Karachi, are expected to be lashed by light to moderate rain on August 3 and 4, a weather analyst said on Saturday.

However, according to Jawad Memon, the monsoon rains in Karachi are anticipated to continue for four more days.

“The weather systems from the northeast and northwest part of Sindh are expected to enter Karachi on August 3,” said Memon in a video post on his YouTube channel.

“Several areas of Karachi would receive light to moderate and heavy rain on August 3, which is likely to be continued to August 4, as the upper air circulation (UAC) would increase the intensity of the system,” he added.

“A circulation made yesterday night [Friday] is currently present near the borders of Rajasthan and Sindh, and favourable conditions enhancing its intensity and covering it to UAC from cyclonic circulation."

The weatherman further said that another spell from the Indian coast is expected to shower Sindh, including the metropolis, and Balochistan from August 5 to 6.

Similarly, the Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD) predicted rain in the megapolis for the next three days. The weather will remain pleasant and cloudy in the city during this period.

According to the met office, Karachi's temperature during the next three days is expected to remain at 30°C to 32°C.

However, Karachi has been witnessing light to moderate rains for almost three days, with some areas receiving heavy showers too.

The areas that received showers last night included Saddar, II Chundrigar Road, Clifton, Defence, Kemari, Quaidabad, Hassan Square, Gulshane-e-Hadeed, Surjani Town and North Karachi.
