Raoof Hasan removed as PTI's information secretary

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appointed Sheikh Waqas Akram as its new central information secretary, replacing Raoof Hasan.

This change was confirmed through separate notifications issued on Thursday by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar.

According to the party’s press release, the appointments were made under the guidance of PTI founder Imran Khan.

While Sheikh Waqas Akram takes over the role of central information secretary, Raoof Hasan has been appointed as the head of the PTI Policy Think Tank, reflecting strategic shifts within the party's leadership.

Akram was one of the 10 arrested MNAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from the parliament premises.

Other detained PTI members were Zain Qureshi, Sher Afzal Marwat, Malik Owais Jhakar, Malik Amir Dogar, Ahmad Chatha, Zubair Khan Wazir, Syed Ahmad Ali Shah, Syed Naseem Ali Shah, and Yousaf Khan.
