The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to meet on April 9 (Tuesday) for the sighting of the Eidul Fitr moon, according to a statement from the religious affairs ministry.
The meeting is set to be held at the Religious Affairs Ministry in Islamabad and will be presided over by Ruet-e-Halal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
The meetings of the zonal committees will be held at designated locations across the country.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast predicting that the new moon of Shawwal is likely to be born on April 8, with a high possibility of being sighted on April 9.
