Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has made a stunning revelation, revealing that Indian director Mahesh Bhatt approached him twice to make a film on Lal Haveli, but was rejected both times.
"Mahes Bhatt came to me from India seeking permission to make a film on Lal Haveli two times," Imran Khan's former close aide said while talking to media.
"He wanted to make a film on the story of Dhan Raj, but I didn't allow him to do so," the former federal minister added.
Sheikh Rasheed clarified that all documentaries made on Lal Haveli so far are inaccurate.
"These [documentaries] are not related to the real Lal Haveli," AML chief claimed.
"Those who say Lal Haveli is on 19 kanals, let me tell them that there are not 19 kanals, but 19 houses here, while we only have a three-quarter marla portion of Lal Haveli," he also corrected misconceptions about the size of his property.
Mr Rasheed revealed that he had already bequeathed to make a university on Lal Haveli after his death.
