The government of Pakistan has accepted Pir Suleman Shah Rashdi, a senior bureaucrat in Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, resignation.

Shah took to X to share his acceptance of his resignation.

"Resignation accepted, Alhamdulilah! I am a free man now. Thank you @ImrankhanPTI for motivating me to part ways with the Opresser and stand by the Oppressed," he captioned his post on X.

In November 2024, Pir Suleman Shah Rashdi, a senior bureaucrat in Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, resigned from his position in protest against the government's crackdown on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters. Rashdi expressed his disapproval on social media, stating, "After witnessing today's heart-wrenching scenes, I decided to quit civil service!"

He condemned the government's actions, describing them as "state aggression" against unarmed citizens. Rashdi's resignation highlighted his distress over the treatment of protesters and his decision to dissociate from what he termed a "rotten" system.

As of now, there is no publicly available information confirming whether Rashdi's resignation has been officially accepted by the government.
