The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced an increase in toll taxes for several motorways in Pakistan, according to a notification issued by the authority.

As per media reports, the toll for a vehicle on the M-1 Motorway, which connects Islamabad to Peshawar, has been raised from Rs 460 to Rs 500.

Similarly, the toll tax for vehicles on the M-3 Motorway, from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem, has gone up from Rs 650 to Rs 700.

The M-4 Motorway, which connects Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Multan, also saw a surge in toll rates, with the new toll tax increasing from Rs 850 to Rs 950.

On the M-5 Motorway, connecting Sukkur to Multan, the toll tax has risen from Rs 1050 to Rs 1150.

Furthermore, the toll tax for vehicles on the Hakla-D.I. Khan M-4 motorway has been increased to Rs 600, as per the latest notification from the NHA.

This marks the third toll tax hike on national highways and motorways in the past seven months, sparking concerns among commuters and travelers.
