Watch: Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry verbally abuse Adiala Jail staff official

Faisal Chaudhry, the lawyer for imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was involved in a tense verbal altercation with Adiala Jail authorities on Thursday after he was denied entry to the facility.

A video, making rounds on social media, shows Chaudhry angrily confronting Assistant Superintendent Imran Riaz, demanding an explanation for being stopped from meeting his client.

"Why was I stopped? Who dares to deny me entry?" Chaudhry can be heard asking the officer, while the assistant superintendent attempts to provide an explanation.

After the confrontation, Chaudhry lodged a formal complaint against the jail administration at the Adiala Jail Chowki.

In his complaint, the lawyer highlighted that his "power of attorney" is linked to all of Imran Khan's legal cases.

He also stated that he was prevented from entering the prison, despite a hearing being scheduled for a case related to the attack on General Headquarters (GHQ).

He accused the jail staff of harassment, not only towards him but also towards other petitioners who were at the facility.

The lawyer demanded that police take legal action against the jail staff responsible for the incident.
