Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reaffirmed his commitment to following the orders of PTI founder Imran Khan and confirmed that he will lead the march to Islamabad on November 24.
Speaking to a local news channel, Gandapur stated that negotiations with the government would only begin after the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.
“My loyalty lies with Imran Khan,” he said. “I will do whatever he instructs.” He further emphasised that PTI workers would reach D-Chowk in Islamabad, no matter what.
He added that the PTI workers would remain in Islamabad until Imran Khan and other prisoners are released, and their demands are met.
Recalling a previous protest, Ali Amin Gandapur maintained that PTI leaders had reached Islamabad despite the roadblocks, adding that the federal and Punjab governments are acting out of panic.
“We are holding a peaceful protest,” he said, criticising the government for causing public inconvenience by blocking key roads and highways across the country.
PTI has decided to proceed with its call for a "do-or-die" march towards Islamabad on November 24, following the failure of negotiations and the government's refusal to release Imran Khan on Friday.
Imran Khan has outlined outlined three primary demands, including the rollback of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the restoration of the Constitution to its original form, and the return of the party's “stolen mandate.”
He also demanded the release of all political prisoners held without trial.
