Google launches fastet AI Model Gemini 3 flash

Google introduced Gemini 3 Pro in November 2025 and has now unveiled Gemini 3 Flash.

As the name suggests, Gemini 3 Flash is Google’s faster artificial intelligence (AI) model, specifically designed for high-speed performance.

According to the company, for most prompts it feels almost as fast as a Google Search.

Gemini 3 Flash will now function as the default model in the Gemini app. However, users who wish to use Gemini 3 Pro will need to select the “Thinking” model instead of the fast mode.

Google stated that Gemini 3 Pro remains the best choice for advanced mathematics and coding, but the company is confident that the Flash model will deliver superior performance for most other tasks.

Compared to Gemini 2.5 Flash, the new model shows significant improvements and, in some benchmark tests, has performed on par with OpenAI’s GPT-5.2.

Gemini 3 Flash has also been made the default model in Google Search’s AI Mode.

According to Google, the AI Mode can now better understand user needs, handle more complex questions, and provide more accurate and relevant responses.
