PTA announces 5G spectrum auction in Pakistan for March 10

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that the auction of spectrum for Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS), including 5G, will be held on 10 March 2026.

According to the PTA, the final auction schedule has been determined following regulatory alignment and extensive consultations with stakeholders, aimed at ensuring a transparent, smooth and widely participated auction process.

The authority stated that the timeline will provide telecom operators and prospective bidders with adequate preparation time, reflecting PTA’s commitment to encouraging broad participation while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Meanwhile, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the auction of the 5G spectrum.

All interested parties have been advised to review the Information Memorandum (IM) related to the NGMS/5G spectrum auction and to stay updated through the latest information published on the PTA’s official website.
