TikTok users are set to earn more money from the platform as the company announced a major change to its subscription model.

At a recent conference in the United States, TikTok revealed that creators will now receive up to 90% of the revenue generated from subscriptions — a significant increase from the current 70%.

However, this higher payout will come with certain conditions.

To qualify, creators must have at least 10,000 followers, achieve a minimum of 100,000 video views in the past month, and have uploaded at least three subscriber-only videos during that time.

According to TikTok’s official statement, “The more consistently you create, the more you can earn.”

The company added that the subscription program helps creators build stronger communities, while paid subscribers gain access to exclusive perks such as special badges, subscriber-only posts, chat features, and more.

The new payout model is currently being rolled out in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to expand to other countries in the coming months.

Outside North America, TikTok currently shares 50% of subscription revenue with creators — a figure that will soon be raised to 70%.

It’s worth noting that TikTok subscriptions allow users to pay a monthly fee to access exclusive content, channels, and stickers from their favorite creators.
