In a strange turn of events, a violent clash broke out between two groups in Pano Aqil over the noise of vuvuzelas by children, resulting in over 10 injuries.
The altercation occurred in the Gharibabad area and involved members of the Indhar and Samejo communities. The situation escalated when children from both groups began using fireworks, leading to a heated confrontation that quickly turned violent.
Separately, despite a strict order issued by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad on August 8, banning the sale and use of fireworks, the city was overwhelmed with noise .
The order, intended to ensure peace and quiet during the celebrations, has largely been ignored, with residents reporting widespread fireworks use and sales.
The Islamabad administration has faced criticism for its failure to enforce the ban, leading to increased noise pollution and public disturbances.
The situation worsened when the injured were taken to the hospital, where yet another altercation broke out. Police eventually intervened to bring the situation under control.
