Humaira Asghar's funeral prayers held in Lahore, laid to rest

The body of renowned actress and model Humaira Asghar, who was recently found dead under mysterious circumstances in her Karachi apartment, was laid to rest in Lahore.

According to her family, Humaira was laid to rest at the Q-Block graveyard in Model Town, where her funeral prayer was also held.

The somber ceremony was attended by close relatives and family friends who paid their final respects.

Her body was formally claimed by her family on Thursday, following widespread media coverage and public interest in the case.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori had earlier offered to oversee the burial as a humanitarian gesture in the event no family members came forward.

Meanwhile, Karachi police have launched a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the former actress’s sudden and tragic death, with authorities treating the matter as a high-profile case.

Humaira Asghar’s body was discovered when law enforcement officers arrived at the apartment around 3:15 PM to execute a court-ordered eviction.

After receiving no response, police forced entry and found her remains on the floor. She had reportedly lived alone in the apartment for the past seven years.
