Karachi police SHO suspended for ‘patronising’ gutka mafia

KARACHI: Station Head Officer (SHO) Awami Colony, Karachi, Zameer Khawar, who patronized the Gutka mafia has been removed from his post. 

According to details, SSP Korangi took a big action and removed SHO Police Station Awami Colony SHO Awami Colony Azmeer Khavor from the post.

Police officials said that the SHO was running an organized racket of Gutka Mawa through his beater, the arrested beater Nasar Ahmad alias Chandio is involved in patronizing organized crime.

Keep in mind that on the one hand IG Sindh is busy making efforts to eliminate the Gutka mafia by forming a task force, on the other hand there are elements who themselves are the custodians of the law but are involved in corruption.

Through this, Gutka Mawa's involvement in the nefarious organized crime was revealed.

SSP Korangi arrests SHO's beater and registers case SSP Korangi's vigilance team conducted a raid on Korangi Link Road, arresting SHO's beater Nisar Ahmed alias Chandev.

The police officer hired the accused to collect Gutka Mawa beats, Nisar Ahmed alias Chandio also ran the SHO's special party, and patronized organized crime in the Awami Colony area.
