Karachi youth killed over failure to pay loan interest

Armed men killed a young man for not repaying the loan interest in Karachi's Azizabad. 

According to details, the deceased, Shahab son of Salamat, and Sahil son of Babar had been involved in financial dealings and disputes over loan amounts for two to three years.

In connection with this dispute, both the deceased Shahab and Sahil had also lodged several FIRs of serious nature against each other.

Shahab was unable to repay the interest on the amount borrowed from Sahil, upon which Sahil, seeing the opportunity, killed Shahab. Upon receiving information about the murder, the Azizabad police reached the scene, but the killer Sahil had already fled.

After Shahab's murder, relatives blocked the Yaseenabad Road for traffic, alleging that the police were supporting the killer's family and making excuses for not arresting Sahil. 

The SHO Azizabad stated that the search for the killer is underway and the killer will be arrested soon. Furthermore, the SHO Azizabad also stated that no criminal, whoever they may be, can escape the clutches of the law.

Shahab's relatives blocked Yaseenabad Road for 2 hours. Later, the DSP and SHO Azizabad reached the scene, and after the assurance from the DSP and SHO that the killers will be arrested soon, the protesters ended their sit-in.

According to sources, both the deceased Shahab and the killer Sahil belong to the Christian community.
