Karachi YouTuber killed by security guard was only son of his parents, father of two minor boys

A YouTuber, named Saad Ahmed, was shot dead by a security guard in Karachi for filming a public opinion vlog on the upcoming Pakistan-India T20I World Cup match.

According to police, the distressing incident took place outside the Sarina Mobile Mall in the metropolis on Tuesday night.

In the CCTV footage, the security guard, identified as Ahmed Gul, could be seen killing 24-year-old vlogger.

Following the incident, the Taimuria police station team arrested the suspect and started interrogating the matter.

During the investigation, the suspect said that he killed Saad because "he filmed him without his consent".

The 35-year-old security guard is an employee of Shah Security Company, from whose possession an AK-47 was also recovered by the police.

Talking to the media outside the deceased house, Saad's friend informed that he was the only son of his parents and was the father of two minor boys.

He further said that recently Saad came back to Pakistan from Dubai as he did not find any job in the Gulf Country.

"He was jobless and was trying to make his career in content creation," the victim's friend added.

He urged the authorities to take strict action against the culprit as "he took away a life for just shooting a vlog".
