A tragic incident occurred in Dadu district's village of Sindhi Batara in Mehar Tehsil, where a powerful feudal landlord allegedly cut off a donkey's leg for entering his cattle enclosure.

The owner of the injured donkey stated that his son earns a living by driving a donkey cart. Last night, the donkey entered the landlord's enclosure, and in anger, the influential landlord and his son cut off the donkey's leg.

The donkey's owner reported the incident to the police at the Radhan police station, but no action has been taken so far. They even left the donkey with the police.

The police, however, stated that the donkey's owner had only reported the incident and had not filed a First Information Report (FIR).

Further action will be taken after the case is registered and an investigation is conducted. The incidents of animal cruelty have witnessed sharp rise in the recent past in the country specially in Sindh province.
