Married woman gang-raped by 9 men in Bahawalnagar

In yet another case of sexual abuse, a married woman was gang-raped by nine men in Bahawalnagar, police said on Friday.

According to law enforcers, the distressing incident took place in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station.

The victim woman said that her close relative, identified as Imran, had taken her from her home on the pretext of giving her medicine.

Later she was injected with intoxicating drugs before being reportedly gang raped by nine men several times.

As per the details provided by the woman, the suspects kept her locked in prison for two days.

The victim said that she escaped from the prison "as soon as she got a chance".

However, the woman was shifted to the district headquarters hospital for the medico-legal procedure.

The case was registered against the suspects on the complaint of the victim and police are conducting raids to arrest them.
