In a disturbing incident, a mentally challenged man, named Faizan Hussain, was tied to a pole and tortured by a mob in Rawalpindi.

According to police, the incident occurred in the race course park area of Rawalpindi on Friday.

The video of the distressing incident also went viral on social media, in which a mob could be seen physically assaulting the man after tying him with an electric pole.

Police said a traffic warden, named Shoaib, was also among the accused.

A case was registered against ten suspects on the complaint of the victim's brother, Kamran Hussain, at the race course police station.

Reacting to the complaint, the law enforcers arrested four suspects, including the traffic policeman.

The City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani has taken notice of the incident, seeking a report from SP Pothuhar.

The high-official informed that a search operation is underway to arrest the remaining culprits.

However, the reason behind the inhumane act was not disclosed by the police.
