10-year-old maid tortured to death by employers in Lahore

In a tragic incident, a ten-year-old domestic labourer was tortured to death by her employers in Lahore, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the suspects, later, set her body on fire, claiming she was died in a gas cylinder blast.

The minor maid, who belonged to Patoki, was working at the house of the suspect, identified as Salman.

The victim’s father said that the suspects had informed him on a phone call that his daughter was killed in a gas cylinder explosion in the kitchen of the house.

Refuting the suspects's claims, police said that Salman and his family presented a fabricated story to save themselves from legal course.

However, the case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s father, and police initiated the investigation into the matter after taking the head of the family into their custody.

Police said the actual cause of the death would be revealed after the post-mortem of the victim girl.
