Karachi: A painter, while working in a house in Khayaban-e-Mohafiz, allegedly made off with gold and foreign currency worth millions, according to reports.

The homeowner filed a complaint with the police, stating that workers from a painting company were involved in the theft.

According to the complainant, the painters stole nearly AED 800,000 along with gold jewelry worth millions.

In his plea, the homeowner stated that after hiring a painting company for home renovation, he later discovered that cash and gold were missing from his room.

He further revealed that 10,000 Emirati dirhams were stolen from his wallet, along with three gold bangles and a pair of earrings from a jewelry box.

The homeowner suspects that the theft occurred while the painters were working in his room and believes that one or more workers could be involved.

He has urged authorities to collect fingerprints from his wallet, jewelry box, and other relevant places to gather evidence.

The complaint requested that a thorough investigation be conducted into the painting crew and efforts be made to recover the stolen valuables.
