Police arrest man for barricading Hyderabad mother, daughter alive in a wall over property dispute

In a shocking incident in Hyderabad, local police arrested a suspect accused of burying a widow and her daughter alive within a solid wall over a property dispute.

The police rescued the mother and daughter, a day after they were entombed in their home by the woman's nephews.

The conflict erupted over a property at a residence in Unit Number 5 of the Liaqtapur area.

The nephews, infuriated by the dispute, confined their aunt, Masooma Tasleem, wife of Abdul Haq, and her daughter Dua, by locking them in a room and sealing the door with a sturdy wall.

The nephews fled the scene after imprisoning the mother and daughter. Local residents alerted Police Assistance 15, prompting a response from officers from B Section.

The police broke down the wall, safely rescuing Masooma and Dua, and transferred them to a hospital for medical care.

Upon arrival, the police found the main entrance of the house locked from the outside. Following the incident, police arrested one of the accused in the case.
