Seven barber shop workers from Punjab shot dead in Gwadar

Unidentified gunmen launched a deadly attack on a residential quarter in Gwadar district on Thursday, killing seven people who were asleep at the time and injuring one other.
According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the attack occurred at a residential quarter near Gwadar Fish Harbor in the Sarbandar area, roughly 25 kilometers from the port city, at 3am.
The authorities reported that the deceased and injured were transported to Gwadar Hospital.
The victims, who hailed from Punjab's Khanewal district, were employed at a barbershop in Sarbandar.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.
Balochistan's Interior Minister, Mir Zia Longo condemned the killings of innocent laborers and ordered a detailed report on the attack.
The provincial government spokesperson announced that an investigation into the tragic incident had been launched.
They added that they were in communication with the district administration and were contacting the families of the deceased workers.
On April 12, in a similar incident, Nine labourers from Punjab were offloaded from a passenger bus and killed by armed men who blockaded the Quetta-Taftan Highway near Noshki.
The attackers also targeted another vehicle, killing one person and injuring four.
Around 10-12 gunmen abducted the nine bus passengers after verifying their identities from ID cards. The gunmen then transported the passengers to a mountainous area where they were killed and buried.
Police later discovered the bodies of the labourers, who hailed from Punjab, near a bridge, according to Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel.
Noshki Station House Officer (SHO) Asad Mengal reported that the gunmen also attacked a car on the same highway that attempted to escape the blockade.
The suspects opened fire on the car's tires when it did not stop, resulting in one death and four injuries.
The brother of Balochistan Assembly MPA Ghulam Dastgir Badini was also traveling in the targetted car.
