A case has been registered against four tourists who drove their vehicle into the Kunhar River in Naran while attempting to film a TikTok video.

According to reports, police in Naran have filed a case against the four individuals involved in the incident. Authorities have also announced commendation certificates for the rescue personnel who safely evacuated the tourists.

Police officials identified the individuals as Sultan, Ali Usman, Mohsin Khan and Asif Ali, all residents of Sheikhupura District in Punjab.

Officials stated that legal proceedings have been initiated against the four men for violating Section 144, with the case registered under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Meanwhile, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Mansehra praised the swift response of the Naran rafting team, whose members successfully rescued the stranded tourists. In recognition of their efforts, the DPO announced that commendation certificates would be awarded to the rescue personnel.

The incident occurred a day earlier when the tourists drove their vehicle into the Kunhar River in an attempt to create a TikTok video. As a result, the vehicle became stranded in the river with all four occupants inside.

According to officials from the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), the vehicle became trapped because the water was too deep.

A KDA rescue boat reached the scene and safely rescued all four occupants. Rescue teams subsequently carried out an operation to recover the vehicle, which was successfully removed from the river.
