Karachi: Wall chalking demanding Karachi be handed over to the federal government or army appeared in several areas of the city.
According to details, during the night between Monday and Tuesday, unknown individuals carried out wall chalking in Liaquatabad, North Nazimabad, and Hidri Market.
The slogans read, “Hand over Karachi to the army” and “Hand over Karachi to the federation.” Footage of the wall chalking was also shared and went viral on social media.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, associated with MQM, had criticized the 18th Amendment and demanded that Karachi be placed under federal control. Mustafa Kamal had also strongly criticized the Sindh government over the Gul Plaza fire incident, prompting a sharp response from the province’s senior minister Sharjeel Memon.
