Following the unsuccessful effort to recruit foreign coaches, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has advertised the vacancy on its website for head coaches.

The cricket body was highly willing to venture with foreign coaches, but consecutive refusals from international players led them to post ads ahead of upcoming tournaments.

The said position has been vacant since the resignation of former foreign coach Mickey Arthur, who had stepped back after Pakistan's lackluster performance in World Cup 2024.

In an effort to bring a coach before the home series with New Zealand, the authority approached high-profile former foreign cricketers, including Shane Watson, Justin Langer, and Mike Hesson, but the attempt appeared unsuccessful.

"We [PCB] are seeking applications from dynamic individuals who will deliver integrated Coaching support to our Pakistan National Team across different formats of the game of cricket. These coaches will lead the development of Pakistan National Cricket Team and produce consistent performances through the design and delivery of well-structured and progressive coaching programs," the advertisement read.

The cricket body is in search of two head coaches; white ball and red ball.

According to the sources, besides inviting applications, the PCB also deliberating with Gary Kirsten for bowling and Jason Gillespie for the head coach.

However, the candidates can submit their applications by 5pm till April 15 via a form published on PCB's website.
