Australia produced a dominant performance to crush India by 10 wickets in just three days during the day-night second Test in Adelaide, leveling the five-match series at 1-1.

The hosts needed only 19 runs to secure victory after bowling India out for 175 in their second innings.

Resuming at 128-5, India had a nightmare start. Rishabh Pant fell in the first over without adding to his overnight 28, edging Mitchell Starc to Steve Smith. Ravichandran Ashwin (7) and Harshit Rana (0) succumbed to short balls from Pat Cummins.

Allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy showed resilience with a gritty 42 but was dismissed by Scott Boland, followed by the fall of Mohammed Siraj (7), sealing India's fate.

Pat Cummins was the pick of the bowlers with 5-57, including crucial middle-order dismissals.

Scott Boland grabbed 3 wickets for 51 runs.

Riding on a blistering 140 from Travis Head, Australia posted 337, taking a commanding 157-run lead after dismissing India for 180 in their first innings.

Australia made light work of the chase, with openers cruising to the 19-run target without losing a wicket under the Adelaide lights.

India won the first Test in Perth by 295 runs.
