Fans urge team management to promote Shaheen Afridi up batting order ahead of India clash

As Pakistan gears up to face arch-rivals India in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 match tonight, cricket fans are calling for Shaheen Shah Afridi to be promoted in the batting order, citing his consistent performances with the bat.

According to a private TV report, supporters said Afridi has proven himself as a reliable all-rounder in the tournament, scoring at an impressive strike rate.

“Pakistan has found an all-rounder like Shahid Afridi,” one fan remarked, urging team management to utilise his batting potential higher up the order.

Pakistan will take on India at 7:30 pm (local time) at the Dubai International Stadium.

Sources suggest the team management is considering key changes for the high-octane encounter, with Saim Ayub likely to bat at No. 4 or 5, and either Faheem Ashraf or Hussain Talat expected to replace Hasan Nawaz.

There is no chance of Sufyan Muqeem’s inclusion, while Haris Rauf is confirmed to play. Meanwhile, either Mohammad Haris or Fakhar Zaman is expected to open the innings.
