Mohammad Rizwan to help Babar Azam as 'vice-captain' of Pakistan team

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan is likely to be appointed as vice-captain of the national team for white-ball cricket, sources said on Saturday.
According to sources, the selection committee has finalised the name of the 31-year-old cricketer as a deputy to captain Babar Azam.
Shadab Khan was also among the contenders for the key role, sources added.
Pakistan Cricket Board will formally announce the decision in a day or two.
Rizwan was also the vice-captain when Shaheen Shah Afridi was named the skipper last year.
The opener has scored 2,981 runs in 91 T20Is for Pakistan at a strike-rate of 127.55.
