Pakistani adventurer Samar Khan has successfully scaled Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, standing at 6,961 meters (22,837 feet).
She shared the achievement on Instagram, revealing that she began her climb at 4:15 a.m. with a team of nine women and reached the summit by 2 p.m. Despite facing extreme cold and harsh winds in the Andes, Khan credited Allah’s grace and the support of her followers for her success.
Located in Argentina's Andes mountain range, Mount Aconcagua is the tallest mountain outside of Asia and is considered one of the Seven Summits. While Aconcagua is known to be one of the more accessible of the Seven Summits, it still presents a significant challenge to mountaineers.
Khan, who is passionate about both cycling and mountaineering, has become the latest Pakistani to conquer the peak.
Other notable climbers from Pakistan who have achieved this feat include Abdul Joshi, Saad Munawar, Asad Ali Memon, Abdul Jabbar Bhatti, Samina Baig, and Mirza Ali Baig.
Following her successful climb, Khan has returned to Mendoza and is expected to arrive in Islamabad on January 19.
