Pakistan's Nooh Butt delivered a stunning performance at the ongoing Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship in South Africa, securing three gold and one bronze medals.
His impressive display earned him the title of Commonwealth Powerlifting Champion in the 120kg category.
The star weightlifter's dominance was evident in the bench press and squat events, where he claimed gold medals in the 120kg open category.
He lifted an impressive 370kg in the squat category and 210kg in the bench press.
The 26-year-old secured a bronze medal in the deadlift category with a lift of 280kg.
His overall performance in the open category was remarkable as he lifted a total weight of 860kg to claim the top spot.
Mr Butt has a storied history in weightlifting, having won numerous medals for Pakistan.
Earlier in August this year, the athlete claimed that he was barred from participating in the Paris Olympics 2024 by the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation.
"They didn't want me to qualify for the Olympics. They want me to follow their directions blindly" he had said in an interview with a private news channel.
However, following differences with PWF, Butt chose powerlifting, where he continues to excel.
