Sania Mirza receives warm welcome from family upon return from Hajj

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, who recently performed the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj this year, received a warm welcome from her family upon returning home to India.

Sania Mirza's mother shared photos of her daughter's return from Saudi Arabia.

“Hajj Mubarak and welcome home,” her post read. 

The pictures showed Sania Mirza and her sister Anam wearing garlands, posing with their family at the airport.

Both sisters were pictured wearing black abayas.

While she was in Saudi Arabia for Hajj, Sania Mirza found herself at the center of rumours about marrying an Indian cricketer, Mohammad Shami. However, her father vehemently denied these speculations.

Before leaving for pilgrimage, she shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, saying that she is grateful for having been blessed with this opportunity. 

"My heart is filled with gratitude for this chance to seek redemption and spiritual renewal. I pray that Allah accepts my prayers and guides me on this blessed path," Sania explained in a post.

“I hope to come back as a better human being with a humble heart and a stronger imaan,” she added.
