The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the ODI Team of the Year for 2024, featuring players from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and the West Indies. Notably, no cricketer from stronger teams such as Australia, South Africa, and India made the list.

Young Pakistani batter Saim Ayub earned his spot in the team after an impressive year, scoring 515 runs in nine ODIs at an outstanding average of over 64. With a strike rate exceeding 100, Saim's record includes three centuries and one half-century, with a top score of 113.

Haris Rauf

Fast bowler Haris Rauf showcased his bowling prowess in 2024, taking 13 wickets in eight ODIs at an average of 22.4. His standout performance came when he claimed five wickets for just 29 runs.

Shaheen Afridi

The star pacer Shaheen Afridi had an exceptional year, picking up 15 wickets in six matches at an average of 17.06. His best bowling figures were 4 for 47.
