On the first day of 2025, the Israeli occupation forces continued genocide in Gaza, killing two Palestinians, including an 8-year-old boy.

Adam Farhallah, an 8-year-old child, became the first Palestinian and the first minor to be killed by Israeli forces in the new year.

His home in the Bureij refugee camp was struck by an Israeli airstrike while he was sleeping in his tent. Adam, from the Abu Dhaher family, was killed during the Israeli bombardment.

A chilling video that circulated on social media showed a man holding the severed feet of young Adam.

27-year-old Khuloud Abu Dhaher, another Palestinian, was also killed in the Israeli assault.

According to human rights advocate Philippe Lazzarini, the chief of the UN agency for Palestine refugees, over 17,600 children have been killed since the beginning of the war, highlighting that Gaza has been experiencing the loss of one child every hour.

Seven babies succumbed to the harsh winter conditions in Gaza, underscoring the severe humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinian children displaced from their homes amidst Israel’s ongoing military offensive on the strip.

The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 45,541 with more than 108,338 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
