Chicken biryani claims life of 39-year-old man

In a shocking incident, a 39-year-old man died after eating a plate full of chicken biryani, a dish famous in both Pakistan and India.

According to local media, the incident took place in Hyderabad city of India on Sunday.

India media said that a person named Srikanth had visited his sister-in-law's residence in the city before heading to a bar for a drink. 

Following his visit to the bar, he stopped by a chicken biryani shop to grab some food.

While enjoying his meal, a piece of chicken became lodged in Srikanth's respiratory tract, causing severe breathing difficulties. 

Despite his efforts to dislodge the chicken, he was unable to swallow and suffered immense pain.

Srikanth rushed out of the shop and collapsed on the beach road, local media said. 

Passersby alerted the authorities, but unfortunately, Srikanth succumbed to his condition before reaching the hospital. 

Doctors declared him dead upon arrival at the hospital, the publication added.

The police have registered a case and shifted Srikanth's body to the hospital for post-mortem.
