In a heartwarming ceremony, 95-year-old Ibrahim Mbogo tied the knot with his long-time love, 90-year-old Tabitha Wangui, on Sunday at a church in Mukurweini, Kenya.

The couple, who first met six decades ago, decided to have a white wedding, in addition to their traditional Kikuyu custom.

"We met and fell in love in 1960... We deliberated together and decided it would be great if we did a white wedding," Mbogo recalled their journey.

"We deliberated [over it] together and decided it would be great if we did a white wedding, we know in our Kikuyu custom that we are legally married, but since we are also Christians, we decided to do a church wedding," he added.

The groom looked dashing in a grey suit and silver tie, while the bride wore a white hat and cream brocade jacket over a white outfit.

When asked about their secret to a long and happy life, Wangui advised, "Women, you must respect your husbands, if you do that, then you will live as we have."

"Don't do any wrong, and when you do, just apologise and seek forgiveness," he noted.

The couple's love story is an inspiration to many, proving that it's never too late to celebrate love and commitment.
