SRINAGAR: The Indian government has dismissed a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer deployed in Occupied Kashmir for allegedly concealing his marriage to a Pakistani woman, according to Indian media reports.
The officer, Munir Ahmed, was transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Bhopal just a day prior to his dismissal.
Authorities claimed his concealment of the cross-border marriage was a violation of service rules and raised “security concerns.”
The dismissal has sparked debate over the growing mistrust and surveillance of personal relationships in sensitive regions like Jammu and Kashmir, especially when they involve connections with Pakistan.

Following India’s controversial false flag operation in Pahalgam, not only has life become increasingly difficult for the people of occupied Kashmir, but even long-serving local policemen have now become targets of the Modi-led Hindu nationalist government’s repression.
Speaking to a journalist, a police officer from occupied Kashmir revealed, that he has been serving in the Jammu and Kashmir Police for 27 years.
The High Court has clearly ordered that we cannot be transferred outside Jammu and Kashmir.
Despite possessing an Indian passport, the officer questioned why he and others are being forcibly relocated, in clear violation of the court’s decision.
