Tel Aviv: Israel has rejected the recent decisions by the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again reiterated his hardline stance, declaring that no Palestinian state would be established and that Jewish settlement expansion in the West Bank would continue.
He added that Israel would issue its official response after his return from the United States.
In a statement, the Israeli Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the move, asserting that Israel “categorically rejects the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by the UK and certain other countries.”
The ministry maintained that such actions do not contribute to peace but rather destabilize the region and undermine the prospects of a negotiated settlement.

The statement further stressed that the recognition initiative runs counter to the principles of dialogue and mutual agreement between both parties, thereby reducing any remaining chances of achieving lasting peace.
Concluding its remarks, the Israeli Foreign Ministry emphasized that Israel would not accept any “baseless or imaginary declarations” that could force it into recognizing indefensible borders.
