In the midst of Gaza's devastation, a young Palestinian girl named Sama is bringing hope and comfort to children through music.

She teaches violin to kids in shelter centres, adapting her methods to include those who have lost arms, tying the bow to their arm with a cloth.

"We conduct psychological relief session to help the children escape the war, the bombings and the harsh conditions they've endured due to the destruction they witnessed," Sama said while talking to Pal Graph.

"Through music, we aim to provide psychological relief for these children," she added.

Her students find solace in the music amid the reckless bombings and continuous evacuation in the besieged enclave.

"We were under bombardment and explosions and I was injured in my leg. When we practice, we release our emotions feel at peace, and experience a sense of comfort deep inside, Abdullah Nashah, one of the students said.

Mohammad Abu Eideh, another student whose one hand was amputated due to an Israeli attack, said: "Playing the violin helps me escape the war and distance myself from what has happened to us. It gives me a different feeling. When I play the violin, I feel very happy, I leave behind the ugly war and I feel happy trying something new."

Another young violinist, Dina Naseer, said that she waits for her teachers to learn the instrument that takes away her from the war-torn environment.

"It was a very nice feeling because we would eagerly wait for Mr. Saleh and Ms. Sama to come and train us, taking us away from the war-torn environment we are living in," she said.

Israel's war on Gaza has resulted in devastating losses, with over 40,000 Palestinians killed, including 16,456 children and 11,000 women.

The United Nations reported that two-thirds of buildings across the Gaza Strip have been "damaged or destroyed." Israeli attacks have also killed at least 270 aid workers.

The restrictions on food, water, medicine, and fuel supplies have exacerbated the crisis.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) directed Israel to ensure basic services and humanitarian aid delivery in the besieged enclave.

Earlier, the Palestinian government's information office reported that almost 1.7 million Gazans had been displaced due to relentless air and artillery strikes by the Israeli military.
