As the Hajj 2024 begins today, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has instructed pilgrims to refrain from wasting prayer time during Hajj on photography and videography.
The Ministry has advised pilgrims to focus on seeking Allah's mercy instead.
The Ministry took to the microblogging site X to encourage pilgrims to spend more time in worship at Masjid al-Haram, making supplications and prayers.

"At the Kaaba, devote your time to supplication, cherish these moments with prayer, and avoid squandering them by taking photos," the post read.
The message comes as a reminder to pilgrims to maintain the sanctity and spirit of the sacred pilgrimage, amid the growing trend of sharing experiences on social media.
The Kingdom's guidance aims to ensure that pilgrims utilise their time in the holy city, seeking a deeper connection with God.
