Huge crowds of Muslim pilgrims from around the world scaled the Mount Arafat on Saturday to seek forgiveness and Allah's blessings on the Day of Arafah.

The pilgrims gathered at Masjid-e-Nimrah to listen to the Hajj Khutbah delivered by Sheikh Maher Al-Mu'aiqly.

Following the sermon, the pilgrims performed combined Zuhr and Asar prayers at the holy site amid the scorching heat.

According to Accuweather, the temperature hit 44°C in Arafat, with more increase in mercury predicted for tomorrow.

At sunset, the pilgrims will depart Arafat for Muzdalifah, where they will perform Maghrib and Isha prayers.

Later, they will collect pebbles for the ritual of Rami al-Jamarat, the symbolic stoning of the devil ritual, which will be carried out in Mina on Sunday (tomorrow).

The pilgrims will then return to Makkah to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha and sacrifice their animals.
