A little Palestinian girl, Jameela, made an emotional plea for the world to stop the Israeli genocide in Gaza, which has claimed the lives of thousands of Palestinians, including children.

“We are just kids, what do we have to do with this?” asked Jameela, a young girl living in Yarmouk Camp, who dreams of returning to her homeland and ending the war.

"I just want the war to stop. I want to return to our land," she said, adding that she wishes to live a normal life like other girls around the world.

With a distressed face, she posed heartbreaking questions, asking, “Are we destined to stay in tents forever?”

"What is happening is unjust and it is wrong. The tears we shed, no one even sees them," she expressed her anguish, emphasising how Palestinian children are enduring extreme cold, hunger, and the brutality of the war waged by Israel.

Her heartfelt plea has raised serious questions about the inaction of the world’s most powerful nations, who have so far failed to halt Israel’s relentless onslaught, leaving thousands of buildings in Gaza reduced to rubble and countless lives lost.

According to human rights advocate Philippe Lazzarini, the chief of the UN agency for Palestine refugees, over 17,600 children have been killed since the beginning of the war, highlighting that Gaza has been experiencing the loss of one child every hour.

Seven babies succumbed to the harsh winter conditions in Gaza, underscoring the severe humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinian children displaced from their homes amidst Israel’s ongoing military offensive on the strip.

The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 45,553 with more than 108,379 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
