Two Palestinian women from Gaza have sent a message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Joe Biden, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, vowing to never leave their homeland despite the ongoing war.

"We are standing here in Gaza, steadfast in our resolve. We are steadfast in our resolve. We will not move to the South. Send this message to Netanyahu, send it to Blinken, to Biden and to all the Presidents as well. We are here in Gaza. We are not leaving Gaza. Even if we die here and get buried here in Gaza, it is more honourable for us than to get displaced to the south. We are staying here.," they said while talking to Middle East Eye's correspondent.

"The South is not safe either. For 11 months now, we have been living here, through hunger, thirst, lack of food, lack of resources and lack of clean water even. We don't have even clear drinking water but we have been patient," the women added.

"So, what is another year? We are staying here in Gaza. We will endure for our whole lives."

The message came after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Qatar to secure a Gaza ceasefire.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he consulted with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had accepted a “bridging proposal” for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The proposal aims to address unresolved disputes between Israel and Hamas, but Hamas has called it an attempt by the US to buy time "for Israel to continue its genocide".

Israel has killed more than 40,000 people and injured over 90,000 in Gaza since October 7.
